How can corporate governance encourage us to focus on tomorrow instead of fixating on today? To look at the bigger picture instead of its fragments? We will explore how this could be reflected in future reporting.

Neil Smith – Editorial Director and Strategic Director at Kōan
Neil Smith has been working in sustainability for the past ten years. He formerly chaired the International Integrated Reporting Council’s Insurance Network and has lectured on sustainable development at Utrecht University. Until recently, Neil was responsible for sustainability at global insurer Aegon, working across the US, Europe and Asia. Under the name Kōan he now advises and supports many companies in integrated and sustainability reporting.


Prof. dr. Leen Paape RA RO CIA – Professor Corporate Governance and chairman of the Nyenrode Corporate Governance Institute
Prof. dr. Leen Paape was appointed Professor of Accounting Information Systems, specializing in risk management, in 2007. After completing his education at the Dutch Royal Military Academy, he held various positions in the Dutch army and air force. He subsequently spent two years at KPMG and nine years at KLM, followed by 10 years as a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Leene also holds positions on a number of supervisory boards and audit committees.


Chris van Vleuten – Video marketeer and trend watcher
Chris van Vleuten is trend specialist and online media entrepreneur, with over 25 years of experience in video, video marketing and storytelling. His company Videomarketeers develops drone videos and 360° productions for national and international clients. In his video workshops, participants learn about the power of video and video marketing.


Brigitte Seegers and Alexander Carp – Senior International Press Officer and Corporate Strategist at ABN AMRO
Brigitte Seegers is a senior spokesperson at ABN AMRO, with over fifteen years of experience. Her focus is on overall communications with specific interest and expertise in international and crisis communications and reputation management. Brigitte is project lead for ABN AMRO’s Integrated Annual Review, which last year received the International Responsible Business Award for ‘Integrated Report of the Year’. Alexander Carp has many years of experience within information management and corporate strategy.


Adrian de Groot Ruiz – Executive Director True Price
Adrian de Groot Ruiz is Director of True Price and Impact Institute. Previously, he was Assistant Professor of Finance at Radboud University, where he did research into behavioral economics and sustainable finance. Adrian holds an MSc in Econometrics and a PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam. Adrian was a member of the Global Shapers (a World Economic Forum community) Amsterdam and of think tank Worldconnectors, where he co-chairs the working group addressing the Dutch corporate Post-MDG Agenda. Adrian is #18 in the ‘Sustainable Top 100’, a list of Dutch professionals who are active in sustainability.
